Wichita Ranch came about in 1994, when Lannie Mecom decided to make Brenham Texas her home. Leaving Houston was a easy task for Lannie and her daughters Betsy and Nancy, the rolling blue hills of Brenham were calling! From that moment on it was full force ahead and a dream began.

Perhaps the most difficult accomplishment for the ladies was to try and find the “complete package” in a mare or stallion. Wichita Ranch did just that and found the horses to fit the bill! Mecom Blue, November Dove, Laredo Roan, Mecom Bay Roan and Mecom Ranch Roan. These Stallions and mare all go back to the one and only “Royal Blue Boon” and there my fellow horsemen is enough said!

So out of these great horses a dynasty has begun that will live forever.
